Adding and Removing Slaves

• When a slave is added, bpsched recognizes and will add it to the node to schedule

  • bprun and make schedules a fixed number of nodes

• To remove a slave, mark it as unavailable

  • bpsched will not schedule new jobs on this slave
  • Wait for jobs to finish before shutting it down

• If bprun or make tries to launch more jobs than processors available, bpsched will pause those jobs until one is available
